I think Abu Hamza has something to do with this. The fact is its plainly against the law to incite a riot in the the UK and this guy used to routinely incite going to war against the UK in public muslim rallies. I dont know why he wasnt arrested and charged for breaking existing laws in the first place. Whatever, by deliberate political manipulation or otherwise by the authorities, a large proportion of the UK became unsympathetic to his rantings. He managed to get innumerable legal challanges in while on trial for all sorts of things, and was in the news headlines for a long time.

The trend back to medieval justice is deplorable though. England spent a long time gettings it legal rights sorted out, and its a shame we are now losing ground. In the aftermath of the French revolution Napoleon had to suspend liberty.

It is necessary to suspend liberties in the name of liberty, in order to save liberty.

So, before we put everything back into order maybe we can shoot some banksters first? -g-

Most people dont think twice about individual liberties but I can imagine the attitude changes quickly when you get arrested and jailed while innocent of any crime.

This is a great TV series to watch btw if you have have a chance to see it. English common law. The Scots dont have it, but its a lawyer called Harry Potter from Scotland who presents the series.

You have Abu Hamza now btw.

More on the UK legal system.

Its looking muddled, and it probably its best we chuck out the european influence.

dailymail.co.uk

We have a history of making a good legal system, no need to fix something that wasnt broke.

The current situation is being used to inflame public opinion as the news paper article shows. The terrorist scenareo has been given a good stir. Heavy handed decisions from the european court isnt going to help individual rights or anyones liberty in the UK.

Usually I disagree with everything the Daily Mail prints.
