I've not quite understood what the leftwingers are saying Woodward lied about. As far as I can see the man was absolutely truthful. And in fact, the smear attack from the Left against him is a fulfillment of the scare tactic used against him by the WH. "If I were you I wouldn't say anything negative about this president because with a couple of Twitter messages from Cutler and Plouffe, we can unleash a torrent of left wing journalists to assail your character." And that is precisely what happened.
