Just to suggest a contrarian view: We shouldn't just assume that because UB has not been a wild success in the first 9 mo that buying it wasn't a good idea. CSCO is proving that the enterprise mkt wants single-vendor end-to-end solutions. Unless NN wants to limit it's growth to that of a niche player, aggressive action had to be taken to get into the enterprise market. I don't see any way that they could have done it in timely fashion other than acquisition & UB was actually quite cheap. Was/is there any other candidate? Should NN abandon the enterprise market?
