There are fabulous blindspots in most macro-generalizations, IMO, which is why sinclair and others can sound shrill. "Loss of value," eg, could mean "not increasing wealth as rapidly as" XYZ. It could be a reflection of the inescapable rebalancing of global economies since WW2. It could be part of a routine cycle, etc. Most arguments you hear about the terrors of national debt and hyperinflation are plagued by assumptions that select out inconvenient complications. So now sinclair is dressing up as a stage magician in a turban and pumping up political cartoons. Chuck Butler is a little more grounded. Anyway, by March 27th, quoth the Swami, we should see daylight again. Gulp.
