I just watched a short blurb on the Discovery channel about C3 and Moisonitte tonight. They took one of the stones to half a dozen jewelers around the country to have a stone appraised. Every one of the jewelers appraised the stone as a real diamond worth around $4,800/carat. In Actuality they said the stone is only worth $500/carat. They also mentioned that there are few ways to test the stone from a real diamond. One method is a specific gravity test where you just drop the unset stone in a fluid and a real diamond will sink while the moisonitte stone floats. Obviously this method is not practicle once the stone is set in jewelery unless you want to remove it first. The second method consisted of testing the stone with a small hand held electronic tester. The tester beeped when a real diamond was tested but did not beep when the moisonitte was tested. They said this tester will sell for around $500. I can see every jewelery store in the country will have to buy one of these.
I am not currently a stockholder but am thinking I may pick some up to put away for a few years to see where this goes. I see a lot of potential here.
