Could it be that CREAF is holding off its retail PCI version until ISA inventory is reduced? It's been rumored on the CREAF thread that they have already begun shipment of PCI cards to OEMs. Would CREAF's PCI card also be DirectX compatible?

SLOB,

Is PCI audio becoming a commodity market? OPTi sold Net Media for
1X sales. Seems to me that if the audio market had decent margins,
Net Media would have sold at some multiple of sales. I sure wish it was worth more.

14M seems cheap for PCI audio presence. CREAF's customers have to be
planning for the removal of the ISA bus, so maybe they demand this technology. With CREAF's access to the top tier of the industry,
maybe the volume makes it profitable?
