I think my own neighbor is going to be escorted off his property very soon. One of those construction electric meters has been installed (on a freestanding pole near where the house will be torn down). Who knows how many of these are in my neighborhood, though? This was obvious because he had his electric shut off, too, so his generator runs 24/7 (for the past year plus). Nevertheless... that people's incomes go down (or vanish) and housing prices go up, and not even a single sentient thought in the MSM nor my local paper which isn't particularly blind, is truly amazing. Another wave of "nobody saw this coming" will arrive unannounced one day, with a new fleecing of the taxpayer to go with it.
