Extremists on both sides certainly try to make it a religion! I simply see Nature for what it is. I grew up with the land, so when I first read Thoreau his words were immediately understood right from the heart. The water, the air, the mountains, the valleys, and the woods are all my home. If I am thereby considered an "environmentalist" then I am (of course) honored to be as guilty as Hell! This planet is the only home I will ever have.
