Plenty. The American economy has been a lot closer than that in the past.
You're changing the subject. Besides, the American economy never looked like that "ideal distribution" in the past. Not even close.
But regardless, the American economy reflects what the top 1% want much more than it reflects what the bottom 50% want. And that's a problem in a democracy.
That's so stupid. You really think the top 1% dictates what the bottom 50% demand?

If so, then Meg Whitman would have no problem forcing the bottom 50% to buy HP products.

If so, Steve Ballmer would have no problem forcing people onto Windows 8 and Windows Phone.

If so, Barack Obama would have lost to Mitt Romney in 2012.

The reason why the top 1% do so well is because they know how to meet the needs of the rest of the nation. They don't force the nation any more than you or I can force them to do anything. Except those in government.

And guess who wants bigger government.
