>Its not doctors who are the ones getting so rich. My cousin is upper middle class at best.

That's a good point. It's not about the doctors making $400K. That doesn't really bother me. The hedge funders making $1 bil+? Yeah, that's absurd.'

In the last 50 years, there is a whole strata of people who have become enormously wealthy who are not particularly talented. Frequently, they come from money and undertake enterprises that are not very constructive or beneficial to the country. The pols shield them with lots of beneficial legislation while they [the rich] amass a lot of legal and corporate talent to take advantage of that legislation. Its become a very profitable scam.

Z,
It's not about the doctors making $400K.
Oh yes it is. Every mention of the 1% includes doctors making $400K.

Let's not forget that 1% becomes 2% becomes 5%. Obama's proposed tax increases will affect the top 5%, which includes households making $175K/year.

Here in California, Governor Moonbeam successfully passed a new tax on all income above $250K. He called that a "millionaires' tax," and even said that those making $250K, if they saved everything they made, would become "millionaires" in four years.

This is indeed about the doctors making $400K. Or the general practitioners making $175K. All in your pursuit of the wealth of the billionaires. It's all about class envy.
