That's incorrect. Unless an abstract like this includes a section for the study's method or design, it wouldn't typically mention the number of animals used. Besides, the abstract includes significant P values derived (p less than 0.05, for example) which, by definition, illustrates more than "5 animals" were used in the study.

Of course, you know all this already.
