Don, <<you don't know many traders that own mutuals funds..>> I think that would be because you don't know that many traders. Most traders I know don't have 100% of their assets and cash for trading. Most are limited by how much they can work day to day. So most hvae to turn to longer term investments, stocks bonds and mutuals fund to handle that which they can't reasonably trade. It is called prudence. Anyone who tells you different is a gambler. I find your approach to the market remarkably lucky rather than skilled or focused. You have no strategy or technical reason, you don't know about or use level2, you don't follow ticks or volume, but rather you simply have a "feel". I know you don't want to hear this, but it is how I feel. You could be the best trader I ever heard talk about themselves. You spend a lot of time talking about the 3000 you make each day, the point on dell, how much you made, etc. Actually, you would be one of the first to do so on this thread. Irby has been posting here for months and I very rarely have ever seen him so boldy post profits, if ever. Why because the sheer numbers mean nothing. You can easily lose as easily as profit. And most are usually not so forthcoming with losses. What is important is the process and you simply don't have one or can not articulate one. Or let me state it this way, your process is simply to buy dell, csco, coms (i forget theother one you liked), within 1/4 point of their low, let them go up 1 point (yesterday you got 3) and sell them, but not get greedy. Gosh, I wish I thought of that. I can see that many here have embraced Don in the last day. He is touting success and that is great in down tech market where trading profits have been tough to comeby over the last few weeks, with a few great exceptions. I apologize if my hard line stance against his opinions offends anyone. He has done well and has been successful. I wish him the best. Hopefully it will last. Regards, Steve@yamner.com
