Don...Trading Places...... The evil Mr. Beaks stole the agricultural report for OJ production. He was going to deliver it to the brothers who would use the information to make a killing in to OJ markets. The brothers, I don't recall their name, ran a commodities trading firm. The information in the report was important for the following reason: If OJ production was good, there would be a lot of oj and future would tank. If oj production was bad, prices would go up and so would the futures. Mr. Beaks drugged the guard and stole the report. Then while trying to deliver it to the evil brothers, Billy Ray and Ackroyd hijacked the report. After hijacking the stolen report and locking beaks in the cage with the monkey, Billy and Dan akroyd falsified the report and gave the falsified report to the brothers. The actual reports would show strong crops. The report the borthers got showed bad crops/bad weather. The next day at the exchange, the brothers started buying everything in sight hoping the futures would rocket when the bad production (or so they thought) was annouced.. Once the futures got to a record high during the day, Ackroyd and Bill Ray Valentine started selling them short, getting the high prices of the day. Trading halted for a moment and the agricultural department announced great crop production. Immediately the futures tanked. The Beaks lost all their money as they leveraged into the one securityu and got rocked and Billy Ray covered at lower prices for a killing and life on a secluded island. Regards, steve
