John : Your name is the OTHER ONE from way back on this thread. It is fair to say your timing for buying and selling SMTC has been quite good. I have learned a lot on this thread.(actually, much more than that). Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding the other two companies you consider possible good buys.

Todd: can you specify the dates for the days you mentioned in your last post? That would help me a lot.

I received the information I requested from Edge (technical specification and operating characteristics values for):

1. Pin Electronics products
2. Parametric Measurement products
3. Timing Products products

The good news is that there will be some new product announcements coming soon. Jeff King is the person at Edge to contact regarding sales. His telephone number is (619)695-1808, and his e-mail address is sales@edgesemi.com. I will fax a copy if someone want them (e-mail a fax number to gadget@inspect.net).

I originally purchased SMTC at $44 per share. I had the unfortunate pleasure of watching the %gain column turn red when it went down to $41 recently. I think having bought at this price point and seen the upside potential made buying it this time a little easier.

Regards, JB

P.S. I wonder if I ended up with some shares John had his eyes set on.
