Hi i-node; Re physicians getting out of medicare. My mom's doctor just "retired". We figure he's about 50. She went to a lot of effort to talk to him at home. He said that he didn't like having to see an excessively large number of patients. I don't know if this is related to medicare; my guess is it isn't. But I do think there's a little problem here and it's going to get worse over the next 25 years.

Were I still a CPA, I would be advising young people (as I did when I was in public practice) to use measures to avoid payments into SS.
