"One swallow (bird) does not make a summer." That Venezuelan who left most probably thought the grass was greener in Australia. This is a very common judgemental mistake anyone could have made in any country. May be that guy was jilted by several women and he could no longer feel macho in a Latin American country where male machismo or "macho-ness" counts for a lot ! He could even have been paid to denounce Venezuela ! And he might have said what he said to convince and impress his Australian friends about his newly minted loyalty to Australia. Well, who knows for sure? Hey, like I have always said, "There's always more than meets the eye." And as Doc Holliday used to say, "Don't take no wooden nickels."
