I have lamented plenty of times how uninformed Americans are.........esp when it comes to things happening in other countries. And the turnout in our presidential elections is nothing short of a national embarrassment. Europeans have expressed shock when I show that I actually know something about their country. There is no question that are educational system has deteriorated and that our priorities are messed up. Having said that, when put up against Mitt, Obama won a sizable majority. And in the end, that's all that counts.
