with vouchers the inner city kids went to private school and did very good, the kids that went to Public schools did very bad. same type of parent and economics

the private school teachers are non union and get way less pay, they do it because the love teaching.

the public school uses union teacher who can't be fired and get pay way more, they do it because they love money.

as the head of the teachers union said " I'll care about the fucking kids when they start paying union dues"

so you make the call

"Could it be the unions fault?"

There is nothing wrong with being in a group. But FORCED membership is morally disgusting. Voluntary Union membership is no worse than joining a chess club! But having any group dictate (as Unions do) ought to be illegal.
