Uh, there's a li'l thing called a "lobbyist." And "political contributions."
As I pointed out to you before, there have been many filthy rich people who tried to buy their way into elected offices with little success.

Being rich doesn't necessarily give you political power, but having political power almost always makes you rich.

Your beef should be against those who have the political power, i.e. the lobbyists and those who can solicit political contributions. Instead, your anger is directed toward those who have a lot of money. And that's just plain class envy.
