No. I don't consider myself "lucky" to have been paying tax on years of salary for nothing, whatsoever. As a self employed person there is no quitting. You keep working even when it is tough. You would like to have the right not buy insurance that affords you no protection, no coverage, nothing. And when times are really hard, you'd be a lot better off if you could pay that money on your mortgage.

I'm really not trying whine about self-employment, because I wouldn't do it any other way. But we get fucked from the time we start until the time we retire. When we face hard times, we get fucked. When we are successful, we get fucked. Self-employeds are the whipping boys of American business.
