<< What GTW is seemingly attempting is a market
differentiation strategy in which GTW is positioned as the best product >>

Market differenciation is a good idea. Trying to impress customers that they are better than CPQ, DELL, HWP now that will take a miracle. I would welcome some other form of market differenciation. Did'nt they talk about having nationwide stores ?? That would be good if they can keep the costs down and still provide good service which stinks at CompUSA, Best Buy, Computer City.

vincent, problem is that toshiba has a great product - better than gtw - and they they can't make any money with similar pricing to gtw.

gtw's products aren't better. just as good, yes. not better.

all the growth is at lower price points. ast understands this. toshiba understands this. gtw can't turn a profit. muei can't turn a profit.

ibm just came out with a $999 computer. why? b/c the business on the high end is crappy. people want cheap. their voting with their pcoketbooks. gtw is losing, imo. as is everyone else that follows gtw's strategy.
