Objectively, I cannot see how anyone can say that. NO PERSON IN AMERICAN HISTORY has been so perfect as Harry Reid.

This man has managed to go four years without a budget coming to the Senate floor. I'm not sure how you can say McConnell topped THAT. He enacted probably the single most sweeping legislation in the history of this country, certainly since Medicare -- without a single Republican vote.

You may see that as something other than obstruction, but when one party "obstructs" the other party from being involved in the process using corruption to do it, it seems to me that is the very worst kind of obstruction you can have.

Al,
You're right..he perfected it to a new level of shittiness...
Is it working? Are the Republicans really trashing the economy in order to stick it to Obama?

It seems to me that sequestration, i.e. the latest result of Republican "obstructionism," hasn't caused this country to fall apart yet, despite the ominous warnings from Obama and some so-called "economists."

I'm sure, of course, that Obama will take credit for the resulting drop in the deficit, just like Clinton took credit for balancing the budget that congressional Republicans passed.

In that likelihood, it would seem that obstructionism isn't achieving the political goals of the Republicans. And that tells me that complaining about said obstructionism plays brilliantly into the hands of the Democrats.
