And no one says the sequester is the end of the world.
Now you're just playing dumb.

Obama was in campaign mode the first two months of this year, telling the public exactly how disasterous sequestration would be to the average American.

You see how it works, don't you? He picks and chooses "average Americans" who would be directly affected by cuts, which elicits feelings of sympathy and outrage. But he neglects to mention that for the vast majority of Americans, sequestration would be but a small speed bump in the road to economic recovery.

Of course, that's not the kind of message that shocks and awes.
