Obama seems to be on the right track now. he is now demonstrating that he is trying to work with the Republicans. I don't expect him to have the Republicans agree with him. But he will have at least kept the pressure up on the Republicans and make it very clear to the people that with the Republicans around, we will not achieve anything even as simple a thing as plugging tax loopholes. reuters.com

GOP has become very regressive and backward thinking.. To a degree, the GOP has always been that way............its part of the nature of conservatism.......to be reactionary. But there is something else going on now that is very destructive and very anti populist that's directed at the rest of us. Its a very dangerous trend that has developed. A small example.........yesterday, some college students did a flash mob for GH Bush..........I think maybe he was at Texas A&M. At first it was kind of funny...........the students started doing what I think is the Texas 2 step in front of Bush.......but I didn't recognize the song and it was hard to follow with the TX twang. However, as I listened more closely.......I began to realize the words were political, trashing east coast monies and talking about taxpayers footing the bill. What I thought was a hilarious moment........they turned into a political event trashing the rest of us. You know what my reaction was..........Fuck TX. If you're so hot.........then self deport and be done with it. And let's not forget the heart of the GOP is in TX.
