I had one who knock a kid out in class at least once every two weeks. Don't think that would happen today. In the 8th grade, there was a nun who just couldn't stand one of the kids and used to bloody his nose all the time - for things such as his shirt wasn't tucked in. He would go home with his shirt all bloody and the parents didn't do anything about it. He went on to a high school taught by Jesuits and became the student body president of the university he attended. After that he became the city manager of a large city in CA, a job he's kept through several changes in the mayor's office.
