The resulting “interference” patterns for the combined microwave fields can strongly enhance the heating where needed – and reduce it where less or insignificant heating is needed – to achieve very precise heating of the tumor. The MRI machine also provides a detailed picture of the resulting temperature pattern! -- which can then be altered, as needed, as the heating progresses. Further, they also use unique, proprietary temperature probes to monitor the temperature at critical points. All of this is necessary, and only BSD Medical’s machines have it.
