Last time I checked, basic economics told us that if something costs more then buyers will buy less of it.

Are you wanting something beyond that?

Surprising? Obama administration censors records
AIM Newswire — March 14, 2013

WASHINGTON — So much for transparency, right? It seems that the Obama administration is one of the most secretive of administrations, even according to the Associated Press.

The AP said that about 65% of its requests were answered and that the 35% unanswered requests were due to missing records, a person refused to pay for copies or the request was determined to be improper.

However, they did note how the Obama administration uses censorship more often than not. The main reason, the AP says, is that the Obama administration wants to protect national security and protect internal discussions.

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests test the transparency of federal agencies and the federal government. But, more than not, the Obama administration has continued to hide behind censorship.

Regarding terrorism, the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, U.S. drone strikes, the increase in FOIA requests have gone up. Even the AP could not deny the fact that the Obama administration cited national security to withhold information at least 5,223 times last year. The denial of information has jumped from 3,805 in 2009 to 4,243 in 2011 to 5,223 this last year. The CIA has withheld or censored up to 60% of information that are a part of FOIA requests. It had jumped from 2012's 49% censorship rate for the CIA.

Obama has made multiple promises, but has he kept them? If one made a list, only one would be fulfilled: ObamaCare. Transparency? Not so much.
