Charles, please reread my post. What i meaned is that bond will hover around 6% and odds which the bond trend will break 6% is small if Fed will not move the short term rate lower. If the bond will stay below 6% for a week without Fed's intent to lower rate, I will be wrong.

As your advice, it may not be accurate. If someone does not need to live off his/her portfolio, there is no need to buy bond. On the other hand, he or she needs to keep certain percentage in bond ALL THE TIME. However if you believe in market timing which I don't, you can buy whatever you think will outperform in the future and I wish you luck.
