It is an outrageous comment, no doubt. If there is sufficient evidence they ought to prosecute. I don't know if there is or isn't. You're not going to get me started defending Eric Holder.

But until such time as some evidence is made public that suggests crimes were committed, I'm not going to to just hurl attacks at Wall Street or anyone else. Perhaps they were, or maybe not. Perhaps crimes were committed but there is insufficient evidence to prosecute (not unusual in these kinds of cases, as I've pointed out).

There is no making excuses. But the fact is that these activities were engaged in with batteries of attorneys whose purpose is to insure the activities are legal. That doesn't mean they are necessarily legal, but at the very least it is going to make it very difficult to build a case.
