Mining industry and early/risk style of capital have created a place for guys like this . Much like early mystique around communism it hides a failed system .

This guy gets grants from these govts which in hindsight are failed economic states so he can promote his failed economic model on the rest of the world .

Human cultures are complicated these people do not need to be exploited either by those trying to develop or by those against it .

If you want to see how frigged up well meaning white guys can get look at Nigeria . Since about 1960 the population has gone from 30 mill to about 300 mill . A country the size of British Columbia and in 1 generation !
