Stockchild,
Intels stock isn't exactly setting the world on fire here is it?
Did you actually think I thought Intel would go bakrupt or something?
Intel reacted to AMD and Cyrix just like I thought they would. (Not only that but the last piece of the "Bomb" post is now coming into play...the NOTEBOOKS.) They cut prices. What makes you mad is that the Analysts freaked and they are driving you crazy because they control a lot of money. Now they are trying to make the PC business cyclical and throw in SE Asia to worry about.
Stockchild...I told you, you worry too much. Intel will do fine, AMD will muddy thwe water but won't make a lot of money and NSM could become the Nintendo of the PC market. What do you care what happens to to AMD or NSM as long as your stocks do fine. I guess you want to have the best toys and smash everyone elses?
Jim

Headline: AMD-K6 Processor Wins PC Magazine Technical Innovation Product of the
Year Award; United Kingdom PC Magazine Also Names AMD-K6 Best System Design for
Processors

======================================================================
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 1997--PC Magazine UK
has named the AMD-K6(R) processor its "Product of the Year," citing
the processor's combination of "technical innovation, commercial
prowess and focus on intent."
"The technical innovations in the K6 have led to exemplary
performance," the magazine said in its January 1998 issue. "That
edge comes from brilliant engineering."
"The greatest benefit from the AMD-K6 isn't technical, however,"
PC Magazine continued. "By aggressively competing in an area that
showed every sign of being a monopoly, AMD has forced prices down and
performance up across the board. That takes more than a good piece
of silicon; AMD has shown consistency, reliability and the ability to
deliver the K6 in quantity."
