That's fine and I'm glad it worked out in that case. It usually does.

But there are other instances, like where a NP told my daughter she "could have a tumor" when it turned out to be a cyst. There is no substitute for the training and judgment of an MD in those cases where judgment is required.

I have no problem with the concept of PAs and NPs, but let's not make it out to be the quality of care we're used to in this country. Admittedly, the US has always had the best health care available anywhere, and things have to change. But Obamacare has pushed this change with no planning or thoughtfulness about the process or the outcome.
