The solution to you guys is always more government. Unfortunately, that's not the case. We need government laws and regulations, but we don't need government to RUN things. That's where the government really sux. Laws and regulations, yes. Management and ownership of enterprises, no. As to the mess in our financial system, the problem is crony government and regulatory capture. Our government has refused to regulate properly and prosecute the laws on the books. So the one damn thing the government is SUPPOSED to do, they are not doing. And you think expanding the government's role to management of the largest enterprise in this country, namely health care, is the right thing to do? Prove to me that government can regulate and prosecute successfully, then we can consider and expansion of their duties.
