Imagine that.....banks aren't special, and "the model is intellectually bankrupt".-nfg-

Allowing such important businesses to operate with almost no equity cushions encourages dangerous conduct. Banks are not special, except for what they are allowed to get away with. The problem is bigger than that banks are “too big” or “too interconnected” to fail. It is that they are so complex and so grossly undercapitalised. The model is intellectually bankrupt. The reason that this is not more widely accepted is that bankers are so influential and the economics are so widely misunderstood. Read this book. You will then understand the economics. Once you have done so, you will also appreciate that we have failed to remove the causes of the crisis. Further such crises will come.

All savings in the loser company store products would be wiped out, but other valuable assets would be unaffected except by rioters, thieves and looters, maybe even run and encouraged by Leftist Governments themselves. Fiat currency is just a phony mechanism to control, manipulate, and basically get people to do what you want them to do. If the mechanism fails, it is simply replaced with another mechanism to achieve the same ends. No real value or worth is ever exchanged for what is desired. It's all psychology and really psychological warfare on dummies. People buy the dumbest overpriced stuff instead of real assets. Those that run the game know how it works. They hand out trinkets, collect interest on those trinkets, take the interest and immediately convert it to real assets because they know the trinkets they created are worthless junk that is hoarded by idiots.
