Thanks for the compliment. It wasn't easy as I had three home loans and two properties at the time as I bought on a good deal before I sold my townhouse. Also, the year before I purchased MSFT, INTC and IBM stock with cash that I'd been "hoarding." I told my father about the stocks and he told me this guy on the radio, Bob Brinker, also liked MSFT so I should have a listen. I did. I also noticed Brinker had a cult like following which intrigued me.

I remember Brinker saying real estate would not go up more than 3% a year and to not consider it an investment, etc...Brinker later recommended UTEK near its all time high and that turned out to be one of the few stocks in the semi sector that went down in the late 1990s while others I bought went up as much as 20x. Brinker kept saying real estate was not a good choice for an investment until 2007 when he changed his tune and said he approved of it for investments if you had an understanding of the local market. I suppose he was referring to his investment in a Lost Wages, NV $1M condo....
