<<<<< Good old Krugman. What would we do without him. >>>>>

Your support of Krugman reminds me of that same kind of unquestioning faith that Greenspan had for years. Greenspan had the support of both republican and democrats and everyone thought he was infallible! That same unconscionable faith continues in the far left today. ...........You and John think Krugman is a keynesian, but that too is bunk. To Krugman, keynesian fixes are no longer quick fixes meant to halt a slide in confidence (something sure NOT a problem today!), but it has become a constant economic way of day to day support. Year after year support. Just like Greenspan should have had his ideological ideas questioned - but didn't - so should Krugman by questioned. That's healthy! Why does Krugman get a pass? It isn't having a hardon for the guy, it is just asking the hard questions that weren't asked of Greenspan. BUT when every single post of Krugman is blindly supported, those doing that cheerleading are no different - in my mind - than those on the right who blindly supported Bush when he invaded Iraq.

I keep reading stuff on Cyprus and still don't understand it very well. That Krugman piece fits well within the stuff I'm reading but is written much more clearly than any of the others.
