One could have been buying the miners over the past 6 months and could have lost 1/2 their investable dollars. I'm not smart enough to catch the bottom, though I think anyone buying here should do very well! The bearish sentiment is at multi year highs: We also have the potential for one heck of a buy signal coming from the gold sector bullish percent index (the BPGDM). The BPGDM is so oversold, it's almost mathematically impossible for gold stocks to get much cheaper. The percentage-based index can range anywhere from zero to 100. On Wednesday, it closed at 3.33. I'm not short anymore I covered when I wrote here: Message 28764171 I will go long in a second when I see the retest or breakout or the bollinger band 20 tells me too..............I watch very closely and yes I'm willing to give up not catching the bottom. I am not smart enough to do that. The ride up should see at least a 50% gain and its not worth the downside risk for me. And if one plays with a little nugt the ride up could be greater than 50% in a short amount of time. Just as playing DUST from late december til March did for me. I also like NEM and wish AG would add a dividend along with the buy back. I would be all over it. I like dividends! Rarebird, I am a stacker at heart and have been for 30 years :) There is a time for every sector, we seem to be getting closer, and closer with the miners. Don't project my negativity if I post some elses thoughts. I like reading everything both positive and negative about an investment. The gold bugs have been posting gold/silver will go to the moon ie: Sprott, Sinclair, Rule, Pento now for over 12 months and it must have hurt a lot of people even on this board. I agree completely with the gold thesis logically but every investment has it's time. One last thought, if you would have bought physical over the past 12 years you would be much, much farther AHEAD imo I like your posts, you add a lot to this board. Please don't take my longer than usual post in the wrong way. I've listened to your comments and have learned some potentially new tricks. :) cmg
