There is always the rumor of the buyout, now its meeting earnings forecasts, short squeeze, etc. Who knows what drives this stock. Why is it like there is some illuminati out there that can control whether this stock goes up or down. How come with 25672 posts of fanatic Ascend traders no one has even a slight clue as to what's driving this stock? I'm convinced this is just "informed" gambling and that's it. It's just the butterfly effect as far as I'm concerned. A butterfly in Texas flapping it's wings causing all this commotion over on Wall street.

From the Yahoo ASND thread (#1676):

"I heard that Boston Chicken is going to buy ascend. Something about it would allow for faster routing of the chicken thru the human digestive system thereby generating more return customers."

Tim,
Your conviction regarding ASND's impending bust has an element of desperation. Most of us on the thread are aware of your current bearish sentiment regarding ASND. I would like to believe that a majority of those on this thread are also semi-sophisticated investors who are aware of the risk (and reward) potential of high tech stocks such as ASND. Filling up the thread with repeated posts which reiterate the same viewpoint without any new information does not serve much purpose.

Any analysis supporting your viewpoint on ASND (positive or negative) with respect to news, fundamentals, competition, or technicals are certainly welcome.

Regards

Alok

You seem a bit bitter with the ASND run-up. Don't be so hard on yourself if you have timed the market in the past and failed. I try to time the market and the results are always lots of small wins and a few big losses. If ASND starts to go up and never looks back from today, consider this as a hard lesson not to time the market again. You might not have the 8k loss if you hold on just a few more miserable days. Good luck.

Yes, I'm lost. The new CFO say the same thing one month ago and the street had no reaction. Why it reacted to Mory who had lied last Q. I am still holding but directionless.

Tim- you are going to look like an idiot tomorrow! CNBC just reported LU did make an offer to ASND for $35 a share which ASND rejected. ASND is holding out for $40 a share. This is not a rumor anymore!
