jack, the list you get (in your link) is a list of market participants NOT market makers. because datek is marked with a '', datek is a non-registered market participant i.e. they dont act as market maker for MSFT. just read the header on that page you are referreing to: the Nasdaq Share Volume Report reflects reported volume and ranking for all Market Participants* trading in each Nasdaq stock. Data is available on a monthly and quarterly basis for block, non-block, and total volume. if your statement is true, just give us a stock symbol where you get DATK without that '*'. i havent found one yet.
