There is nothing wrong with target practice and hunting. Herein lies the problem. This statement indicates that you are willing to give an inch. And when that happens, people will ask for a yard. Oh yeah........I wouldn't have made that offer if we were negotiating. I've learned how Rs see the world.......you wait til they squeeze a compromise from you. I think Obama has learned that lesson as well. Recall that crazy white man, trembling and shivering with rage on Piers Morgan's show and yelling at Piers that he wants his right to own a gun to "protect against the British." Say what. Oh I know. The crazy white man in this country is furious that their days of entitlement are coming to an end. More than half the world liberated against the British Empire without having to own guns. Just peaceful means: Gandhian style. Not that Gandhian is foreign to the US. The US had a Dr. King also who shamed his oppressors. Yup. So today we have some ludicrous, waco Americans (the neocons) going around the world in a organized military fashion, threatening to kill people just like Hitler did. According to a friend of mine, a retired military Colonel, the US is hated by the NATO. None of he NATO troops and commanders want to be under US military command. And they point to how we treat a African American President who the world recognized as a Nobel Laureate because of his accomplishments. It doesn't surprise me in the least. Unfortunately, the neos could care less what the rest of the world thinks of the US. It is the American psyche which finds relaxation through firearms that is in serious need of repair. No kidding.
