"Where is your proof that they don't?" I do not bear the burden of proof. Accusers such as yourself bear that burden. Firstly, give that brain a little shake and think. Doctors do not need to limit abortions to 20 weeks or less. It is (as you have now admitted) PERFECTLY LEGAL IN CANADA TO INDUCE ABORTIONS. But definitions and policies and agreements and understandings are in place which guide and bind the health care professionals to a standard of service as regards providing abortion care. You really ought to be very happy about that. It is a civilized thing to see a group of professionals forming rank to stake out ethical ground. But for some strange reason this seems to really piss you off? It is as though you have this deep psychological need to have respected professionals become thoughtless and hurtful so that you can have an outlet for posturing your insignificant but grandiose sense of self importance? You act out some strange symptoms... Late term abortions--after 20 weeks--(what you refer to so foolishly and dishonestly as "partial birth")...are without exception, all done in cases of lethal fetal abnormality, where the fetus cannot survive after birth. Just because something is not illegal does not mean it is a desired or helpful activity. Abortion is not something any woman wants to welcome into her life. But unwanted and unwelcome pregnancies happen. "Following is a breakdown on the total numbers of surgical abortions by gestation time, based on StatsCan 2003 data (Excel spreadsheet), combined with a representative sampling of 2005 clinic data across Canada. [1] This includes medical abortions by methotrexate, which are all done earlier than 7 weeks, and comprise less than 1.5% of all abortions in Canada. • 5-12 weeks — 90.1% • 13-16 weeks — 7.4% • 17-20 weeks — 2.0% • >20 weeks — 0.3% 320 abortions were done over 20 weeks gestation in 2003. [2] Almost all of these occurred between 20 and 22 weeks, a small number for compelling social reasons — e.g., teenagers who were in denial of their pregnancy, women in abusive relationships, etc.— but most were done for serious maternal health reasons or fetal anomalies. Only a tiny handful of doctors in all of Canada are trained and willing to do abortions after 20 weeks. The 3rd trimester begins after 24 weeks. The number of abortions done after 24 weeks in Canada is very small, although we don't have exact figures. Without exception, all are done in cases of lethal fetal abnormality, where the fetus cannot survive after birth.

None , as usual you provide only uncouth hysterics. And don’t you feel better admitting that 90% of abortions performed in Canada are under 13 weeks?
