Well obvious truth told, you couldn't put greg or brumar together alone in a room before they weren't taking each others heads off over an inevitable spat over each one's interpretation of scripture. Only the most prominent fears & hatreds seem to propel & unify them both like the shared Islamophobia. What isn't more obvious to someone standing off to the side is how much this fear & hatred is perpetuated on both sides by the fringe always.

What does become more apparent is these fringe fundamentalist for the last century have become even more aroused by the solidifying perception that these other belief systems exist and are extremely well entrenched in cultures which cannot be dismissed with the wave of their hands.

Pascal's wager leaves out the third choice which is in the middle, since he makes the infinite future happiness & reward in heaven the basis of ultimately choosing to believe in God. Sounds very simple & is compelling since that is the nature for most adult human being's worlds anyways , since the natural state is always to be dreaming with imagined hopes & plans & pretends yet to be. Like saying its better to wish upon a star than not wish at all but we know that our lives today are still full of superstitions ,lives are always filled with making wishes, wanting to win lotteries , hoping things will get better, always on the other side of the hill.
