Simple and straightforward to you, huh? How about we take it apart and look at it.

Therein lies the problem with conservative's they do not consider problems in their complexity.

"Liberty,"

Liberty means little without a context. Do we have or want the liberty to run red lights. How about the liberty to kill our neighbor? How about not paying our taxes? Allowing gay marriage? Obeying the laws we don't like? And on and on.

"In God We Trust," and "E Pluribus Unum,"

Which god? Judism, Mormonism, Hinduism, Christianity (Catholic, Babtist,Seventh Day Adventist, Luthern, etc), Taoism, Buddhism, Islam.

And what about atheist's?

What does that even mean?
