ts not the right of the people to own guns and be their own standing militia. Both the USSC and the plain text of the amendment say otherwise. Nope. Only in the 21st century has the USSC court reversed 200 years of interpretation of what the second amendment meant. And even if you are correct and the FF intended the amendment to be just as the right is choosing to interpret it, then the amendment is still wrong for the 21st century.......just like so other things in the original constitution were wrong for the 21st century. And lets not forget the right tends to be wrong on pretty much everything these days.
