Perhaps an old classic "Green Mansions" by William Henry Hudson ,might be something for Erita with her love of animals & nature , an exotic romance adventure set in the jungles of Venezuela with the mysterious forest dwelling girl Rima who lives in the lush enchanting "green mansions" of the forest and can communicate with the animals. A beautiful mystical story of love and adventure, innocent enough with tragedy mixed in, could be an exciting read for her amazon.com
