I understand that Kinnard called the price of ANCR a triple bottom on their technical report. Is a triple bottom, a sign of good times in the future or is it one fat chick?

More on frame size and I/O:

I found this while looking at the HP Tachlite stats:

hp.com

Frame size is given as "up to 1,024" bytes. I am still trying to figure out how I/O, protocol, and hardware factor in throughput and have asked some engineers for assistance. I will post it when I find out.

George,

<<<With regard to the I/O issue, any ideas about how HP's Tachyon Lite
(class 2/3 only) with about 3,000 more I/Os per second will affect this?>>>

I think the additional I/Os would help the host side of the equation rather than the switch side. The 'FC chip' now allows more I/Os from the host channel(s) to the FC_AL and/or the FC fabric.
