Private insurance companies have done a far better job than either Medicare or state Medicaids. We do know that much. Can private insurance be improved? Yes. But it is only because we have private plans subsidizing government plans that we have great health care.

I suppose that's why health care plans around the world dominated by private insurance cost more per capita...it's a fact free zone we have here.

No health care anywhere is an activity_base_cost ecosystem...there is subsidy from one age class or economic class to another...equally important, there is significant subsidy from one health condition class to another...perfectly healthy people subsidize unhealthy (by choice or fate) people substantially...it can't be any other way...if it was people would be going bankrupt in droves.

Al
