Right. And nowhere near 20 minutes. but its functionally near identical to many weapons that are called assault rifles. "Functionally near identical" covers a lot of ground, Tim. So is a cannon, a musket and a RPG. The things the media and others refer to as an assault weapon is a very specialized device. It is all about killing the most people in the shortest amount of time as I detailed in my last post. We need to visit the whole idea of a semi-automatic rifle in civilian hands. its any semi-auto (or potentially but less likely other methods such as pump or lever action which can also be fired rapidly) with a detachable magazine. I agree, Tim. No reason for any rifle that isn't bolt action or equivalent.
