Driving around in Europe it is sickening to see how most of the goods is clogging up the EU highways. Typically the right most lane is nothing but a long que of trucks with others trying to pass by in the next lane. Those places they only have 2 rails in ea direction you can imagine what traffic problems that causes.

Sick stuff sitting there when watching the half empty rapid rail trains passing by half empty.

The US puts a lot more of its rail resources in to freight rail (where it makes a lot of sense) and less in to long distance passenger rail.
