We are all in agreement, because of this one fallacy on INTEL Management part our great contributor and benefactor HUMBLE CARL has paid dearly. I know that he tells the truth when he speaks and if it were not for ANDY G. he could not be HUMBLY GREEDY however, if it were not for ANDY G. and now CRAIG B. he would not be as humbled as he is right now. We all want the best for this great company however, even the humble one has been hurt by their lack of adequate PR work over the past six months. The threat of lawsuits is a poor excuse for the mode of nondisclosure that has been INTEL'S recent mode of operation. The tactics employed by PR are less than the quality that is expected of a company as solid and innnovatie as INTEL.

TO: All - Listen up!!! here is a guy who knows what he is talking about.

John, >>>The really great companies at managing street expectations make things look better when they arn't so good, make them look worse when they are great. They give very clear guidance on earnings well in advance, and revise the information when it changes. The analysts never have to go to more extreem projections because they trust that the company will update them immeadiatly if things change. Stock price becomes less volitile, PE's move up.<<<

I am going back to read all your previous messages.

Many thanks,

Mary

John Fowler: Re: "I suspect that they fear shareholder lawsuits and overly cautious in their public statements."

Good point. Moreso, they could be laying low due to the FTC investigation and waiting for the Digital deal to be approved.

Admittedly the stock price has been languishing for awhile, but it sat completly still for most of 93 and 94 if you will remember. And the key is the patient ones have been more than rewarded.

From Intel's POV they said their piece in the earnings report re: 4Q and in their opinion nothing has changed.

The announcements of the product roadmaps and the reorganization to make sure they have chips for every price and purpose is a powerful statement that they intend to compete in all niches and not cede any areas to competition. This plus the new NC standards is a very aggressive marketing stance, not to mention the aggressive price cuts.

So all in all, taking their announcements at face value, I am quite optimistic. Let Kurlak and Cramer play their silly games. They will have no long term impact on INTC.
